Intro Maker Updates
Two months have already flown by in 2023, but I'm still catching up on my usual "end of year" tasks. I send out a demo real of Intro Maker's Top 10 Intro Videos as part of my welcome email sequence, and I think it's fun to look back and update that video every year.
For 2023, I did a little extra diving into the stats and broke things out into TWO lists: Top FREE Intro Videos and Top Intro Videos (By Sales). There's a lot of overlap (as you'd expect), but the data is super interesting!
The top 10 intros by preview count make up right around 40% of all free previews generated on the site in 2022, but the top 10 bestselling intros collectively only make up 21% of all orders.
That makes sense to me. Intro Maker started as IntroCave and was heavily focused on Gaming Intro Videos. I started differentiating into other categories like Breaking News Intro Videos, Slideshows, and Quote Video Templates (along with doubling down on title sequences and text-only video templates) because I saw demand there. It's awesome to see a news template and a title sequence crack the Top 10 for this year!
If you're not getting the newsletter, subscribe to the Intro Maker YouTube Channel to see the featured videos each month.
This month, I'm featuring the Top 10 Templates (Free Previews) from 2022 -and- the Top 10 Templates (Paid Orders) from 2022 in one reel.

IntroCave is a one-person-show operated by Will Hankinson, but it's not 100% accurate to say every word is written by me. Some articles were live on the site when I took over. I hire writers from time to time to work on specific articles. People keep asking me to do guest posts, but I haven't actually seen any relevant submissions yet. "Intro Maker staff" might make a better by-line, but currently that's just me. I've been building digital things for 10+ years now, and some of my favorite projects are posted over at my personal website if you want to take a look!
