IntroCave Updates

11 New Templates for July 2022: Revenge of the Quotes

More summer, more templates, more quotes.

I just uploaded 11 new video templates for July. This month features 7 new quote templates and 2 new intro templates with logo/text versions.

I rolled out support for multiline text last month, but this month I added my first template that was purpose-built for quotes. It features a slot for a logo or headshot (attribution #1!) and a byline to include the source (attribution #2!).

This new quote template (All 3 variants of Cool Quote below) is also the first test of another new feature: completely optional images. If you don't provide an image, the headshot will just drop out instead of rendering the placeholder Intro Maker logo. Getting this to work right was a huge pain, but I'll continue to tinker with how I do these so I can offer that on more videos.

I'll continue to experiment with the format on those.

it me

IntroCave is a one-person-show operated by Will Hankinson, but it's not 100% accurate to say every word is written by me. Some articles were live on the site when I took over. I hire writers from time to time to work on specific articles. People keep asking me to do guest posts, but I haven't actually seen any relevant submissions yet. "Intro Maker staff" might make a better by-line, but currently that's just me. I've been building digital things for 10+ years now, and some of my favorite projects are posted over at my personal website if you want to take a look!
