Intro Maker Updates

IntroCave has a new owner!

Big news! You may have seen "Will H" popping up in emails and that's because I'm taking over the site from Jamie. He's hanging around for a bit to make sure the transition goes well, but I'll be operating the site from here on out.

"BUT MY DATA," you might be wondering... but there's really nothing to fear—we store very little user data. Any images/audio you've uploaded are deleted after 3 days and we don't touch payment information (that all goes straight to Stripe). The only personal information we keep is your email address and video history.

In addition to being more active on the blog and uploading more templates, I've got some ideas for some really cool features to add to IntroCave. I want this site to be the best and easiest way to make intro videos on the internet! Some immediate things I'll be working on include:

Discovery

Better keywords, categories, and intro descriptions.

More Templates

More templates, especially in areas that users search for regularly.

Spotlights

Customer shoutouts. Watch this space—I'll be announcing how you can be featured.

Speed

I'm updating our render pipeline to get your videos to you even faster!

If there's anything else you'd love to see on IntroCave—or even just feedback, shoot me an email at support@introcave.com — I'd love to hear how you're using the IntroCave intro maker today and learn how you'd like to use it in the future. Are you using it for Twitch streaming? For YouTube intros? For corporate presentations?

Top Intro Videos in June

P.S. As I dive into the statistics, expect to see more content like the "Top Into Videos" section just above here. If there are other fun stats or neat little bits of information I can dig up, I'll figure out when and how to get those onto the blog or in to the newsletter.

it me

IntroCave is a one-person-show operated by Will Hankinson, but it's not 100% accurate to say every word is written by me. Some articles were live on the site when I took over. I hire writers from time to time to work on specific articles. People keep asking me to do guest posts, but I haven't actually seen any relevant submissions yet. "Intro Maker staff" might make a better by-line, but currently that's just me. I've been building digital things for 10+ years now, and some of my favorite projects are posted over at my personal website if you want to take a look!
